The Commission has adopted 13.07.2023 the proposal for a Council Recommendation on a European framework for research careers,
which includes the new Charter for Researchers.
The ResearchComp website has also been launched.
The proposed Council Recommendation and the new Charter for Researchers are part of a package in support of attractive research careers on which the Commission is working.
These are important deliverables of action 4 of the ERA Policy Agenda, and the result of a very good cooperation with Member States, Associated Countries and stakeholders in the ERA Forum.
Once implemented, these measures will have a decisive role in making research careers in Europe more attractive, to the benefit of the effectiveness and competitiveness of the overall Research and Innovation system in Europe.
The European Commission’s commitment to promoting gender equality in research and innovation is an important part of the European Commission’s broader Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025, announced in March 2020. One of the objectives of this strategy is to strengthen the European Research Area (ERA) to ensure equal opportunities in a working environment where all, regardless of gender, can develop their talents and to better integrate the gender dimension in scientific projects in order to improve the quality of research as well as its relevance to a society based on knowledge, technology and innovation. Each year between February and April 30th, all employees who have worked in Poland in the previous year, have to submit their annual Personal Income Tax declarations (PIT) to the fiscal authorities. Currently, it’s time to submit your PIT for the year 2020.
There are various PIT forms marked with different numbers but the most common form is PIT-37 for employees who do not run their own business and did not have any income from other countries in 2020.
